New York School Bus Safety Report (January 2023)

As part of our new monthly partner newsletter “Road to Safety”, BusPatrol will be sharing regular data on the status of our safety mission in New York.

The State of New York has taken a leadership role in safeguarding the students that travel to and from school every day. Much work remains.

BusPatrol’s New York School Bus Safety Report for December 2022 shows that more than 6,000 buses are now modernized with safety tech, protecting as many as 330,000 New York students.

As of January 2023 in the State of New York, only 13% of school buses are equipped with safety technology, safeguarding only 15% of the students that are transported on school buses every day.
