LEADERSHIP

Justin Meyers

President and Chief Innovation Officer

Justin Meyers is a leading public safety technology executive whose work has helped police departments and local governments move from one-off procurements to integrated, ecosystem-level strategies that strengthen safety and civic infrastructure. Over more than two decades at the intersection of policing, governance, and public trust, he has focused on building scalable AI-driven platforms that enable responsible innovation, institutional credibility, and measurable reductions in harm on the road and in communities.

As President and Chief Innovation Officer at BusPatrol, Meyers leads the company’s mission to use AI, machine learning, and telematics to prevent dangerous driving and reduce crashes, not merely record them. Under his leadership, BusPatrol has expanded nationwide and earned recognition on the 2024 and 2025 Deloitte Technology Fast 500™ and 2025 Inc. 5000 lists, cementing its role as a national public safety leader.

Before joining BusPatrol, Meyers served as Chief of Operations and Chief of Staff for Public Safety for the City of New York, where he built the New York City Office of Public Safety and managed a $30 billion portfolio and more than 100,000 employees across the NYPD, FDNY, Department of Correction, Probation, Emergency Management, the Mayor’s Office of Criminal Justice, the Sheriff’s Office, and over a dozen additional agencies. Earlier, he served as Chief Executive Officer and Chief of Staff for the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office and Assistant Police Commissioner for the Suffolk County Police Department, the 11th largest police department in the United States.

Meyers is deeply engaged in national and international philanthropy. He is a founding member of the United Kingdom’s International Police Research and Innovation Network, serves on the Police Foundation Board of the City of Boston, and advises Police Foundations and public safety organizations across the country.
