Additional Privacy Disclosures for Canadian Residents Supplemental Notice

Our Privacy Notice explains how we, BusPatrol America LLC, collect and use information when you use our websites or applications (collectively “Services”). This Supplemental Notice addresses the required disclosures and rights associated with Canadian residents and the applicability of the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Document Act (“PIPEDA”).

Rights & Choices: Canadian residents have certain legal rights under PIPEDA related to their information. Except as otherwise provided or excepted by applicable law, you may exercise the following rights:

  • Right to Access: You have the right to request disclosure of the information we collect, use, purpose, and disclose about them, and to access their information.
  • Right to Correction: You have the right to correct inaccuracies in your information.
  • Right to Withdraw Consent: You may withdraw your consent to the processing of your information at any time.
  • Right to File a Complaint: You may file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (OPC).

Exercising Your Rights

  • How to Submit a Request: You may submit a request to exercise the rights listed above by contacting us at info@buspatrol.com.
  • Verification Process: As required by law, we will verify your identity before responding to your request. We may ask you to provide sufficient information to reasonably confirm you are the individual whose information we collected or an authorized agent. We may limit our response to your rights as permitted by applicable law. Any additional data collected for verification will be retained for legal purposes (e.g., proof of the identity of the requester) in accordance with our Privacy Notice.
  • Authorized Agent: You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. As permitted by law, we may require additional verification in response to a request.
  • Responding to Requests: We will use commercially reasonable efforts to honor your request within thirty (30) days from receipt. If additional time is needed, we will notify you of the same, along with an explanation and anticipated timeline for the extension, which shall not exceed sixty (60) days from the date of receipt of the initial request.
