BusPatrol 2024 Year in Review

It’s officially 2025, and as we look forward to the year ahead, we want to take a moment to reflect on the growth and milestones we achieved together in 2024.

At BusPatrol, our mission is to make roads safer, one community at a time. By equipping school bus fleets with best-in-class technology, including a fully turnkey platform for capturing and processing school bus stop-arm violations, we work to protect students and create safer communities every day. 2024 has been our biggest year to date. Here’s a quick snapshot of what we’ve been up to:

Expanding partnerships and protecting more communities

Each year, school buses are illegally passed over 45.2 million times in the U.S. We’re committed to changing that. This year, we partnered with new districts and expanded our efforts in others, helping to make roads safer for students nationwide.

Today BusPatrol has a presence in 20 states across the country, proudly supporting 350+ school districts, over 30,000 school buses, and 1.6 million+ students. And these aren’t just numbers — they reflect the tangible, positive impact our growth has already made in the communities we serve.

“The number of citations we’ve seen is stunning,” said Donny Wolfe, our VP of Government Relations. “I hope this continues to curb reckless driver behavior and protect more children on their way to and from school.”

Raising awareness and educating students during School Bus Safety Week

Every October, National School Bus Safety Week highlights the importance of keeping students safe during their commutes. This year, we celebrated by hosting bus safety workshops in classrooms across Florida, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Connecticut.

In these sessions, students learned critical safety tips, including looking both ways before crossing, avoiding the bus’s danger zone, and spotting potential hazards. They also engaged with activity books and watched a short film reinforcing key safety rules. Through these efforts, we empower students with the knowledge they need to stay safe and foster a culture of safety in the communities we serve.

Building a culture of safety and responsibility

Everything we do at BusPatrol is rooted in our mission: safer school buses and safer communities. But it’s about more than just putting cameras on buses — it’s about creating real, lasting change by improving driver behavior and encouraging safer habits.

But don’t just take our word for it. Hearing feedback from the communities we serve is what truly inspires us to do what we do. Here are some of our favorite soundbites from 2024:

  • “The level of customer service and the responsiveness of the BusPatrol team is excellent, and that goes all the way up to the top of the ladder with senior leadership.” — Anita Stubenrauch, Transportation Supervisor, Carroll County Public Schools, MD
  • “Partnering with BusPatrol has been an absolute win towards providing a safer environment for the children of the city of Richmond. All of this was accomplished with a minimal commitment of personnel.” — Donald Olson, City of Richmond Police Department – Richmond, VA
  • “BusPatrol continually shows their dedication to improving the safety of students and the motoring public, through a comprehensive delivery method. Their robust approach and prompt attention to all compliance, data, legal, and operational matters, speaks volumes of their commitment to this important safety initiative.” — Adam Hornick, Former Project Manager – Albany, NY
  • “BusPatrol is unequivocally a powerful tool when protecting the most valuable asset any community has — our children. Distracted driving is everywhere and continues to be a concern. It is impossible for the police to be at every bus stop all the time. BusPatrol provides the solution.” — Brian Marshall, Chief of Police – Phoenixville, PA

These stories remind us why our work matters and inspire us to continue fostering a culture of responsibility and awareness regarding school buses and children. We’re proud of all we achieved in 2024 and the meaningful impact we’ve made nationwide. As we look ahead to 2025, we’re excited to build on this momentum and create an even safer future, one community at a time.
