At BusPatrol, we are dedicated to making communities safer by tackling public safety challenges with advanced AI-powered technology. Today, we are the nation’s leading provider of school bus stop-arm enforcement solutions, partnering with more than 400 communities across the country to modernize school buses with cutting-edge safety systems.
School buses make up the largest mass transit system in the United States. BusPatrol technology helps to curb illegal stop-arm passings and protect children on their journeys to and from school. We believe that through innovation and technology, we can change driver behavior, create safer roads, and build a safer future for the next generation.

Our Story
In 2000, 5‑year-old Adam Ranger was tragically killed while getting off his school bus in Ontario, Canada.
After learning about this, we knew something had to change. So we set out to build an AI system that understands when drivers illegally pass stopped school buses. We tested the hardware in some of the toughest weather and worked closely with law enforcement to make sure the technology was able to detect each and every violation. We quickly learned that high costs and complicated setups were major barriers to adoption.
That’s why in 2017, we founded BusPatrol — an all-in-one, violator-funded program that makes school bus safety accessible.
Today, we partner with hundreds of communities nationwide, protecting millions of students every day – and building the foundation for a safer future for everyone.
