Location: 8560 Cinder Bed Rd #100, Lorton, VA 22079 (Remote opportunities available)

The Opportunity: 

Reporting to the Call Centre Team Leadthe successful candidates will be instrumental in helping to build a productive and Call Centre practice which is a major component of our business model.  We need a team of dedicated, accurate and reliable agents to manage our incoming customer questions and concerns and manage them through our process. 

What we need you to do: 

  • The call center agent will be responsible for assisting customers who have questions and/or concerns regarding their citation  
  • The ideal candidate will be able to identify customers’ needs, clarify information and provide our customers with solutions and/or alternatives 
  • Manage a large volume of inbound calls from our customers 
  • Engaging in active listening with customers, confirming or clarifying information and diffusing angry callers, as needed 
  • Understanding and striving to meet or exceed call center metrics while providing excellent consistent customer service 
  • The call center agent will be required to keep records of all conversations in our call center database 
  • Maintains and improves quality results by adhering to standards and guidelines, recommending improved procedure 
  • Updates job knowledge by studying the school bus laws in the different jurisdiction BusPatrol operates 
  • The call center agent will be responsible for assisting the Call Center Team Lead with calls and additional projects 

What you bring: 

  • The call center agent must possess basic computer skills and be capable of learning basic automated tasks associated with video review and processing 
  • Must demonstrate user level proficiency with Microsoft Office 
  • Must have solid verbal and written communication skills, effective time management skills and a results-orientation 
  • High school diploma or GED required 
  • Must be able to adapt to change  
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment  
  • 1 to 2 years of experience as a call center agent or client facing role preferred 
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills 
  • Strong organizational and collaboration skills 
  • Embraces, encourages, and supports colleagues who see things differently and who desire to grow 
  • Participates discussion and provides needed feedback to build a climate in which team can succeed in bringing value and be proud of their work. 
  • Treats everyone with respect, dignity, and multi-cultural sensitivity. Acts with transparency and fairness in all transactions with colleagues and leadership 
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
