Stop-arm Camera Technology: DCS Students to be Protected
Lorton, VA (August 14, 2018) — As a new school year unfolds, BusPatrol is thrilled to announce that an agreement was reached with the Dissolution Committee for the Former Board of Dallas County Schools (DCS). BusPatrol’s camera technology can help protect students in Dallas County as they travel to and from school this fall.
The agreement with the Dissolution Committee will allow those independent school districts previously served by DCS to do the same by using our state-of-the-art technology on their buses.
“Our experience shows that 98% of drivers who receive a ticket for passing a stopped school bus do not receive a second,” says Jean Souliere, BusPatrol CEO. “Our stop-arm camera technology helps to not only prevent violations from happening, but also to bring awareness to the need for motorists to slow down and pay attention on the road. We are pleased to have come to an agreement that puts student safety first, and we look forward to helping Dallas County achieve these same goals.”
BusPatrol’s works to build partnerships with police, governments, and citizens to address school bus safety.
BusPatrol LLC is an independently owned and operated company established in 2017. We focus on highlighting and protecting students across the country. BusPatrol bought the camera technology and intellectual property that was previously installed on buses across Dallas County. The acquisition of intellectual property and equipment from a now-defunct third-party supplier was made in an effort to save the School Bus Safety Program in Texas.
